Hello, and welcome to my webpage!
My name is Andrea Rocha and I am starting my third year of doctoral studies at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. There I am working on my Ph.D in Engineering Science in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering. To help facilitate my studies and research, I applied for the RAMS internship in 2007 and was selected. This year I have the privilege to return to ORNL for my second year as a participant in the RAMS program.
As a graduate student in the RAMS program, my goal is to gain valuable works skills AND conduct competitive research to help advance knowledge in my fields of interest. Particularly, I hope to use this opportunity to integrate my skills and knowledge in the areas of computational biology, microbial ecology, and engineering science.
To help share my research experiences and current projects, I created this page. Here you will find information on my 2008 RAMS research, 2007 RAMS research, presentations, and doctoral studies.
Recently, my University posted an article on my RAMS accomplishments and goals. Click here for a view of the article.
