Hello and a warm welcome to all. This is the web page of my research project at a glance, a little about myself, and the people & institutions who make it all possible. The focus of this project is the modeling and simulation of the heart. With the help of the University of California San Diego's finite elements based software, Continuity 6, a software aimed specifically towards bio-engineering and physiology. We will be able to model the key aspects of the heart's function by code. Once the general code for normal heart function is understood, modifications can be made to the code to simulate abnormalities. Porting to ORNL's High Performance computers will give us a broader view of the heart's function and will simulate heart function over a long period of time. With such data, the effects of these abnormalities within the heart will be subject to analysis. What will be gained here is knowledge about where the most common heart problems come from. This computational research will one day lead to innovative techniques that will be proactive and efficient in the solving of these problems.
